Nebraska Loess Hills Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council

Vision:   People working actively and in cooperation to strengthen communities.

Mission:  Manage, develop and conserve natural and human resources for present and future generations.

What is the Nebraska Loess Hills Resource Conservation & Development Council?  

    The Nebraska Loess Hills RC&D Council is a locally led, non-profit grassroots organization serving Burt, Cuming, Dakota, Dodge, Thurston, and Washington counties.  The Council protects and develops economic, natural and social resources to improve area economy, environment, and quality of life.
    The Nebraska Loess Hills RC&D Council actively implements strategies and projects which benefit area communities. Council members are local community members–like farmers, ranchers, local officials, business owners, and representatives of county boards, towns and natural resource districts. Council members volunteer their time and effort to adopt, implement and complete RC&D projects. 

 What are the Nebraska Loess Hills RC&D Council priorities?

 Nebraska Loess Hills RC&D Council priorities include:

  • Enhance and protect area natural resources & promote environmental stewardship.
  • Facilitate improvement of infrastructure & community resources.
  • Develop human capital.
  • Enhance economic opportunities for area residents.
  • Promote tourism and develop recreational opportunities
  • Increase awareness of RC&D.
